PRP Treatment

PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) treatment for hair loss is a non-surgical procedure. Experienced plastic surgeons or hair loss treatment experts use to increase healing in multiple areas of the body especially to restore hair growth that means platelets play a role in healing.

So what is a platelet?

Platelets or thrombocytes contain a range of growth factors and proteins that speed tissue repair, which is made in our bone marrow, the sponge-like tissue inside our bones, is a component of blood, along with red and white blood cells. The thrombocytes are some of the body’s "first responders" that arrive to stop the bleeding and promote healing. Bone marrow contains stem cells that develop into red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

How does PRP Treatment work?

PRP treatments effects can vary, stimulating the scalp to encourage hair growth. We use the most recent FDA-approved PRP system, allowing for maximum effect when the growth cycle is restarted. To gain the best outcome, we ensure a high-quality concentration of PRP enriched with maximum growth factors.

Firstly, the patient's blood is collected. Platelets are separated in a centrifuge into three layers:

  • Platelet-poor plasma
  • Platelet-rich plasma
  • Red blood cells

Then they are injected into the patient’s scalp (the layers of skin). To carry out the treatment physicians use a very fine needle, to see that the patient doesn't feel any pain or discomfort. Then a doctor injects the platelets into targeted areas of the scalp.

How many sessions required for prp hair treatment?

Patients may need several sessions. The whole PRP treatment process may take about 1 hour. As no sedation is required, when treatment is performed, after receiving PRP treatment, a patient can go to work and usually return to their regular activities without any limitations.

The Recovery period after PRP injections

PRP therapy for hair loss clarity goals is after just four to six weeks. On the other hand, it may be around 3 months before you are aware of the results you were looking for. Because of the hair growth cycle, ideal results can take up to three sessions spaced one month apart to become apparent.

PRP is just a non-surgical treatment. The technique helps with keeping a patient's hair thick and healthy and doesn't resolve the causes of hair loss. So it’s not a comprehensive measure to stop or reverse hair loss. It depends on the patient to extend his/her recovery time and the main thing is, it can help to improve results. It will help to make your new hair thick, healthy, and strong.
